Influential Professors
I have two professors who have really guided the direction of my education. Jere Hawn recruited me for the MSCM program and believed from the start that I could achieve great things. Professor Haug has also contributed to my success by assisting me with my resume, cover letters, and providing a reference for me for jobs, awards, scholarships, and internships.
Declaring a Major
A significant experience for me was when I declared my major. Once I decided on my major I really felt connected to campus and developed my place. I became involved in my major student association, became connected with the other students in my classes, and was able to develop relationships with my professors. I gained direction and purpose and that was really motivating.
Life in Bellingham
I love the Bellingham community. I like that the city has different facets to it that fit every mood. There is the mall area with all the super stores, downtown Bellingham with boutiques, and restaurants, and Historic Fairhaven which has a different feel with fun shops, restaurants, and a gorgeous view of the water.
Valuable Internship
Last summer I had the opportunity to work for Gap Corporate in San Francisco. I worked for Old Navy logistics. I was part of an awesome internship class which was taken through a series of training classes, executive leadership speeches, and a lot of fun activities. It was an incredible learning experience!
After Western
I am moving to the Seattle area and have taken a job with Microsoft as an Operations Account Manager.
