Your Western Washington University family is waiting to congratulate you in person! Join our students, faculty, and staff as we welcome the next incoming class at Western Preview, a special event for admitted students only.

 

 

You don't want to miss Western Preview, whether you've already been on campus, experienced our Virtual Tour, or talked about us with your friends and family. Confirm that Western is the best match for you and your academic and professional goals by spending the day with us. Invitations will be mailed to admitted freshmen and their families beginning in February.

8 a.m. Check in with campus tour
9 a.m. Check in without campus tour

11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Academic sessions & lunch*
1 - 1:45 p.m. North campus residence halls open

*Based on academic sessions selected during registration, students will receive a personal agenda via email and at check-in.

Between 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. you will have the chance to attend two academic sessions and take a break for lunch in one of our Residential Dining Halls. When you register you will choose two of the academic session options below and one option for lunch:

Campus Fair

From 2 - 4 p.m. you are invited to attend the Campus Fair, which will include representatives from many campus departments, student services, and clubs and organizations.

What to Bring

We ordered great weather, but please be sure to check the Bellingham weather forecast before you visit. We recommend layered clothing, a light rain jacket or umbrella, comfortable shoes, water, sunglasses, and your camera. If you bring your $250 enrollment confirmation to the Info Booth in Red Square we'll happily celebrate with you and your family!

Directions & Parking

Get info on driving to Western and campus maps.

Park for free in the 'C Lots' off South College Drive and Bill McDonald Parkway. Look for our Western student volunteers who will direct you towards available parking and check-in.

Exploring Bellingham

While you are in town for Western Preview, check out places to stay and eat and other activities in the Bellingham area.

If you need overnight accommodations, space is limited and we recommend booking a hotel reservation in advance.

Morning and afternoon campus tours are barrier-free.

Dietary Restrictions

Dining halls and campus markets offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menu options.
