Reservations are required, however, and space is limited. Registration will close the Sunday before each program or earlier if the program fills.

Colleges on Campus for Each Day

April 6

The College of the Environment is home to Environmental Studies, Environmental Sciences, and Urban & Environmental Planning & Policy.

The College of Science and Engineering is home to Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering & Design, Geology, Mathematics, Physics & Astronomy, and Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education (SMATE).

Fairhaven College is home to Interdisciplinary majors such as American Cultural Studies, Education & Social Justice, and Law, Diversity & Justice.

The Institute for Energy Studies (IES) is a multi-college collaboration that offers interdisciplinary undergraduate degrees to address the science, technology, policy, business and economic aspects of energy systems. Current programs include Energy Policy & Management and Energy Science & Technology.

Marine and Coastal Science (MACS) is an interdisciplinary program at Western Washington University with core and affiliated faculty in units across the university, drawing together the wealth of expertise in multiple departments and at Shannon Point Marine Center.

April 13

The College of Business and Economics is home to Accounting, Decisions Sciences, Economics, Finance and Marketing, and Business Management

The College of Fine and Performing Arts is home to Art & Art History, Dance, Theatre, Music, and Design.

The <a href="https://chss.wwu.edu/">College of Humanities and Social Sciences</a> is home to Communication Studies, Linguistics, Modern & Classical Languages, Health & Human Development, Journalism, Anthropology, Political Science, Sociology, Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and much more!

The Woodring College of Education is home to Education Leadership and Inclusive Teaching, Elementary Education, Human Services, Secondary Education, and more!

8:30 - 9:30 AM Check-In

8:30 - 9:45 AM Viking Union Tours

Take a tour of Viking Union (VU), where many campus clubs and organizations live, such as the Associated Students, Ethnic Student Center, KUGS 89.3 FM, Multicultural Center, and more!

Tours leave every 15 minutes beginning at 8:30 AM. The last tour leaves at 9:30

8:45 - 11:45 AM Academic Department Fair & Tours of Lab and Department Spaces

Here's where you will get a chance to meet with representatives of academic programs and tour labs spaces and department spaces.

10:00 - 10:45 AM Welcome Session

Hear from speakers such as current students and university leadership.

11:00 – 11:45 AM Various Sessions

Join an Academic Department, Financial Aid, or Study Abroad session.

11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Residence Hall Showcase

Go inside the residence halls and check out an actual dorm room.

11:45 AM - 12:50 PM Lunch

We'll be providing complimentary lunch to all students and guests at our dining halls.

12:30 - 3:00 PM Student Resource and Support Services Fair & Campus Tours

At the Student Resource and Support Services fair, you will find representatives from Financial Aid, New Student Services, Housing, and more!

45-minute walking tours of campus will begin every half-hour.

1:15 - 3:00 PM Various Sessions

There will be a variety of sessions for students and families to attend, including Honors, Study Abroad, Financial Aid, Student Panel, BIPOC Student Panel, Parent Panel, New Students Services/Family Outreach, Academic Advising & Student Achievement Center, and Housing.

1:15 - 2:15 PM Fun Student Activity

Break the ice and get to know your future classmates! Attend this fun session led by a current WWU student. More details to come!

1:00 PM - 3:30 PM Recreational Center Tours

Take a tour of the Wade King Student Recreation Center which features 100,000 square feet of indoor recreational and athletic space. The facility includes three basketball/volleyball courts, a six-lane swimming pool with activity area, two cardio exercise areas, two group fitness rooms, a 1/10-mile three-lane indoor track, climbing and bouldering walls, a weight room, and a multi-activity court.

Getting to Campus

From Interstate 5, take Exit #252 (Samish Way and WWU). Turn west onto Samish Way and follow the signs for Bill McDonald Parkway and the University Campus.

Parking for Admitted Student Days is complimentary! Refer to your confirmation email for parking and check-in information.

Important Travel Note:

Due to other events in the area, we anticipate that hotel room vacancies in Bellingham and the surrounding communities will be limited. If you are traveling for Admitted Student Days and plan on staying overnight, please be sure to reserve your accommodations as soon as possible.

Admitted Student Fridays

Western will also be offering Admitted Student Fridays in April. These free events are great opportunities to hear from current students, tour campus, and meet with student services offices. The program is comprehensive with a full-day agenda, but if you wish to meet with a specific academic department, we suggest reaching out to them at least two weeks in advance of your visit.
