About Me
As a Western alumna, I was in your shoes not too long ago. Luckily, my experience at Western left me confident in myself as both a lifelong learner and global citizen.
I am from Renton, Washington. When it came time to begin my college search, I knew that I did not want to leave the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and began to tour the in-state universities. Part of why I chose to attend Western was that I was always treated as an individual rather than as just a number among thousands. This individual attention is carried out in the classroom as well, where I was able to receive guidance from professors and collaborate with my fellow students. I studied Biocultural Anthropology and Spanish, and during the course of my studies I volunteered with the Whatcom County Health Department, worked on an archaeological excavation twice and worked as a student employee in the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education.
The opportunities that Western has provided me have helped to shape me into the person that I have always wanted to be. I look forward to helping you on your journey in higher education, and am excited to hear from you.
