College Major: Bachelor of Arts, Music; Master's in Outdoor Adventure Leadership

About Me

When I finished high school, I had no idea what I wanted my career to be. I knew that I loved the performing arts, so I chose music as my major, and I loved every second of it! In addition to choir and opera ensembles, I got involved on campus as a resident assistant, a student government representative, and a coordinator for student art, music, and film events. I also had the opportunity to study abroad in East Asia. Thanks to all these opportunities, I learned so much more than music theory. I developed a passion for leadership, travel, and higher education itself. After graduation, I trekked to the Northwoods of Wisconsin to get my Master's in Outdoor Adventure Leadership, where I got to study, live, and work at a summer camp year-round.

In my free time, I'm an enthusiast for all things gaming, whether that's board games, video games, or tabletop roleplaying games. My ideal weekend is getting in costume and going to a Comic-Con or Renaissance Faire! On most evenings in Bellingham, you can find me reading in a coffee shop or at the park with my partner and our two energetic dogs, Poppy-Tart and Texas Toast.

I relocated to Washington in 2025 from Johnson City, TN, a small town nestled in the Appalachian mountains. One visit to Bellingham was enough to convince me that there is nowhere else I'd rather be! It is the perfect combination of big-city opportunities and small-town community. I was drawn to Western by its commitment to its students and its passion for making higher education accessible and sustainable. The students, faculty, and staff here are so genuine and friendly, and the campus has gorgeous views of both the forest and the bay.

What I love most about working in the admissions office is helping students discover what opportunities are available to them. All the decisions around college can sometimes be intimidating or confusing, so I hope to make the process easy to navigate. Feel free to reach out with any questions, and I'll do my best to connect you with the information and resources you need to feel excited and prepared for your college journey!
