About Me

I came to Western and Bellingham from my hometown of Fairbanks, Alaska as a student, and quickly found myself at home in the classroom, my residence hall, and the amazing local running trails. I double-majored in Spanish and Linguistics, and was involved in a number of student clubs, including helping WWU Quidditch qualify for the US Quidditch National Championships for the first time ever. I began college with very little idea of what I wanted to study and what experiences I wanted to have; at Western, I was able to try a little bit of everything.

I graduated in 2014 as the Spanish Department Outstanding Graduate and spent two years as an Admissions Counselor before moving to Lugo, Spain to work as an English teacher. I had an amazing experience in Spain, but after two years I was ready to come back to Bellingham and to Western, so here I am! In addition to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education, I enjoy trail running, tennis, softball, disc golf, and travel. I can't wait to meet you and help you make your way to college!

Tengo la intención de hacer que la educación superior sea accesible para todo tipo de estudiante y todo tipo de familia. Por lo tanto, usted puede ponerse en contacto conmigo en español también, si le resulta más fácil. ¡Hasta pronto!
