I came to Western and Bellingham from my hometown of Fairbanks, Alaska as a student, and dove right into the great bevy of opportunities that Western has to offer, double majoring in Spanish and Linguistics, and being involved outside of the classroom through clubs such as WWU Quidditch, To Write Love On Her Arms, and La Mesa de Español. I began college not knowing if I wanted to become a professional educator or a world traveler; fortunately, at Western, I was able to do both.
I graduated in 2014 and spent two years as an Admissions Counselor before moving to Lugo, Spain to work as an English teacher. I had an amazing experience in Spain, but after two years I was ready to come home to Bellingham and to Western, so here I am! In addition to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education, I enjoy trail running, tennis, softball, disc golf, and board games. My time at Western as a student and an Admissions Counselor has provided me with tremendous opportunities to pursue my personal and professional passions, and I can’t wait to help you start your own college journey.
Tengo la intención de hacer que la educación superior sea accesible para todo tipo de estudiante y todo tipo de familia. Por lo tanto, usted puede ponerse en contacto conmigo en español también, si le resulta más fácil. ¡Hasta pronto!
