About Me

I began my college journey at WSU before a trip to Western Washington University in 2014 convinced me to transfer. During my initial visit, I was charmed by the walkable campus, the town of Bellingham, and the multitude of opportunities available at Western. Having grown up in Western Washington, I appreciated that Western was in the familiar Pacific Northwest and was thrilled to discover that Sehome Arboretum’s trails were easily accessible from campus.

I graduated from Western in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and minors in Geographic Information Science (GIS) and Environmental Policy. While at Western, I worked as a Peer Advisor for the College of the Environment. In this role, I discovered my passion for helping students navigate their journey in higher education. There are so many opportunities available to students at Western, and I took advantage of many of them, including presenting a poster at Scholars Week, joining the Dungeons and Dragons club, and even being a Commencement Speaker at my graduation. In 2024, I obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Biological Science from WGU to help me better understand how to support people in their education.

When I’m not at work, I love to spend time in the Bellingham community by acting in plays at local community theatres, eating at local restaurants, and going on walks with my dog and spouse. I also appreciate downtime at home doing yoga, reading, or watching tv and movies with friends. I found my educational home at Western and am eager to help other people to do the same, so please reach out if you have any questions! As an Admissions Advisor, I am here to help you determine if Western could be the right fit for you and address any questions or concerns about the application process.
