During this time, you will have the opportunity to attend an Admissions Information Session, Current Student Q&A Panel, and Financial Aid Information Session.

Visit Academic Departments; join information sessions on Western's Honors College or Study Abroad; meet with representatives from campus resource offices; explore campus; meet current students, faculty, and staff, and more.

During this time, you're also invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch in one of our dining commons!

College of Science and Engineering & College of the Environment

October 13, 2023

The College of Science and Engineering is home to several departments: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering & Design, Geology, Mathematics, Physics & Astronomy, and Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education Program.

The College of the Environment is dedicated to educating future environmental experts and leaders who will take on today's environmental challenges. Its curriculum is divided into three branches: Environmental Sciences, Environmental Studies, and Urban and Environmental Planning & Policy.

The Marine and Coastal Science Program is an interdisciplinary program that brings together faculty from different departments in the study of marine systems with an emphasis on placed-based learning, exposure to research, and cohort-based, immersive educational experiences.

The Institute of Energy Studies is a multi-college collaboration that offers interdisciplinary undergraduate programs to address the science, technology, policy, business and economic aspects of energy systems.

Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies & College of Fine and Performing Arts

October 20, 2023

At the Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies, students can design their own majors, called interdisciplinary concentrations. Fairhaven faculty work closely with students through intensive advising and classes of 15-20 students. Curriculum focuses on social and environmental justice and diversity.

The College of Fine and Performing Arts offers degrees in Art, Art History, Dance, Design, and Theatre.

College of Business & Economics & Woodring College of Education

The Woodring College of Education offers degree programs in Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary, and Inclusive Education.

College of Humanities and Social Sciences

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) is the largest college at WWU with fourteen departments and three interdisciplinary programs, offering over 50 bachelor's degrees and 12 graduate degrees. Programs of study include: Communications, English, Health & Human Development, History, Journalism, Modern & Classical Languages, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and more.

Can't make it to this Fall Preview Day or have additional questions for CHSS? We invite you to join the CHSS Virtual Drop-In Session on Monday, November 6 at 4:00-5:30 PM (Pacific).

Getting to Campus

From Interstate 5, take Exit #252 (Samish Way and WWU). Turn west onto Samish Way and follow the signs for Bill McDonald Parkway and the University Campus.

More Transportation Options

You will park in the free C Lots off South College Drive and Bill McDonald Parkway, and then head to the Academic Instructional Center West lobby for check-in. Look for our Western student volunteers who will direct you to available parking and the check-in location.

Please note: There will be construction along South College Drive. Please expect delays when using this road.
