Why I chose Western

I loved that Western had the kind of community that you could see and feel on campus. Seeing students hanging out in front of Old Main or gathered in Red Square between classes showed me that there was a place where I could belong. I knew I wanted to be able to be close to the many outdoor opportunities I value and in a new beautiful place helped me choose to be a Viking.

What I like most about Western

Coming from a small town, Western is a great place to feel like you know a lot of people while remaining big enough to have a lot of chances to meet new people.

My advice for incoming or prospective students

Get involved in different events and activities, especially early on in each quarter as they are a great way to connect with other people. Clubs are also a great way to meet people who share a similar interest as you do and a great opportunity to try something new!
