Interests

I love being outside, whether it is hiking, kayaking, hammocking, or spending time at the beach. I am also a super big animal lover, and I plan on owning lots of different animals once I have settled down.

Major

Biochemistry, Minor in Psychology

Hometown

Chehalis, WA

Why I chose my major

I chose my major because I didn't just want to pick a major in Chemistry or a major in Biology. Biochemistry has always been very interesting to me and learning how the chemicals in living organisms interact to make them survive is fascinating. I was not planning on minoring in Psychology when I first started here at Western, but I took an introduction to psychology class during my first quarter and fell in love with learning how the brain functions. I look forward to taking many more Psychology classes in my future at Western.

What I ultimately hope my education helps me achieve

With a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, I plan on attending a Physician's Assistant school in the Pacific Northwest and eventually becoming a Pediatric Physician's Assistant. I love working with families and helping people with their needs. Entering the medical field has always been a huge goal of mine, and I believe that attending Western will help me reach that goal.
