What I like most about Bellingham
I love the location of Bellingham –I’m able to stay connected to the mountains and forest as well as explore the beaches and ocean. Bellingham is the perfect mix of a small, outdoorsy town and a lively city with countless things to do. Whether I want to escape into the forest or pop downtown for a cup of coffee, I’m able to do so in less than 15 minutes.
Why I chose Western
When I was looking at colleges, I was particularly drawn to the Northwest because of the big trees and the proximity to the water. While I love my home state and the Southwest, I wanted to branch out and explore a new part of the world. When I visited Western, I found the students and faculty to be incredibly welcoming. I could see myself fitting in and becoming engaged in the community, being challenged academically, and exploring the PNW.
