An experience or class at Western that made me go "Wow!"
Talk with your advisors and professors you have built connections with, and ask them about their experiences and how they got to where they are today. The best academic advice I've gotten from a professor during office hours was to not just register for classes that are ticking off a box for your degree. Find classes that will introduce you to new perspective and teach you life skills.
What I ultimately hope my education helps me achieve
Success after college life is all about the people you meet! I hope to continue to make connections that not only open up doors for my professional career but also act as mentors to help me navigate the path that will take me there, and all the decisions along the way.
My advice for incoming or prospective students
Think about what you are hoping to get out of your college experience and what is most important to you. You can plan out your course work for the next 4 years, but I promise you it's impossible to plan the experiences you will have, the people you will meet, and where it will all take you.
