I love being outside experiencing new things, whether that's going on a new hike or trying a new restaurant downtown.
Why I chose Western.
I looked into the science program and I found out how much time and effort they put into it - from professors to their labs. I felt comfortable that I would get a top of the line education while at Western.
An experience or class at Western that made me go "Wow!"
My second quarter at Western, I got a concussion and wasn't able to attend school for almost two weeks. At most schools I would have had to drop out for that quarter, but at Western my professors met with me out of class and I was able to finish the quarter with good standing.
What I like most about Bellingham.
I love Bellingham because it is a place willing to accept all kinds of people from many different backgrounds.
My advice for incoming or prospective students.
You are essentially choosing a new place to call home, and its important that your home loves you but you love your home as well.
Why I chose my major.
I chose Biology because I love nature, especially animals. I love knowing the little details that make the world spin. When I graduate I would like to be a dentist.
