Why I chose Western
I chose to go to Western at the very last minute. Literally on May 1, the last day to commit to a school. I decided to go to Western mainly because of finances, and Western was a great school that was affordable to me. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made, because I absolutely love Western and wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.
Why I chose my major
I am an English Literature major for two reasons. English has always been a subject that I love and one in which I thrive, so it was a natural decision to study that when I got to college. However, it did take me changing my major a few times before I figured out that that was the major for me. I love to read, books are my heaven, and I love writing. Those two things have been a part of me forever, and now with this major they always will be.
My advice for incoming or prospective students
Just get out there and explore your campus and community. Western has so many cool hidden spots around it that are perfect places to study or show your friends. Join clubs or some of the sports, because we have a university full of great groups of people that you can meet through just getting involved on campus.
