What I like most about Bellingham

I love all the fun cafes around town, I've made it a mission to try all of them! I also think we have a really vibrant community of art, craft, and vintage markets. Theres always a few every month I look forward to checking out, along with the Bellingham farmers market.

Why I chose Western

This school was the perfect size for me, small enough that it's not overwhelming and I can make connections with professors, but big enough to have lots of resources and student activities. There's also lots of opportunities for undergraduate research, which is very unique and exciting as a STEM student.

Why I chose my major

When I was coming into Western, I had no idea what I wanted to do. But, through taking all my General University Required courses, I was able to narrow down what I really enjoyed doing. This led me to STEM, where I had some super awesome professors and great experiences with the tutoring services. I found that I loved the puzzle solving aspect of both computer science and mathematics and learned here that data science was that perfect mix I was looking for.
