I play on the WWU baseball team and I'm also a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, which is Western's professional development club. In my free time, I like to play guitar and piano, and I also enjoy going to the Wade King Rec Center to play pickup basketball! When springtime comes and it's sunny outside, my favorite place to be is Lake Whatcom!
If you're struggling with something don't just stay silent! Go to your professor's office hours, take advantage of the tutoring center, study in groups, always seek help when you need it and don't be afraid to say "I don't get it!" Also, try not to stress yourself out too much. Go out and have some fun whether it's through clubs, intramurals, outdoors, hanging out with friends, etc.
What I absolutely love about Western is that it feels like such a tight-knit community. You never feel like you're just a number and you'll almost always see someone you know when you walk through campus. There are tons of clubs and activities to get involved in, and lots of fun things to do in Bellingham!
