Early Childhood Education; dual endorsement special education
Winter quarter my freshman year I had Leadership 101 with Dr. Stout and she learned every single one of our names, in a 125 person lecture class. That's when it hit me that the professors really do care about us and want to get to know us on a more personal level, not just people paying to listen to them talk.
I chose my major because I love children and I want to help make a difference in the lives of kids in special education programs. Once I graduate I want to work in a special ed preschool or kindergarten classroom.
What I like most about Western is that it offers such a wide variety of activities that you are never bored; there is always something going on. Same with all the different classes offered, there are so many that sound interesting and I don't have enough time to take them all!
