Interests

I love all things ocean, so you can often find me tide pooling, watching an ocean wildlife documentary, or just thinking about my favorite fish (an honor that currently goes to the oarfish!). I also love to read, draw, and play music.

What I'm passionate about and why

I love all things science! Whether that be museums, a guest speaker on campus, or a book, I'm happy to learn about just about anything. It's such a privilege to be exposed to so much interesting research and to have access to experts in the field here in college, and I am passionate about finding ways for those experiences to be accessible to anyone who wants them!

An experience or class at Western that made me go "Wow!"

I took Greek Mythology for a GUR credit and it was my favorite class I've taken at Western! I learned so much and we got to visit the planetarium in the library, where we learned about how our sky changes throughout the year. It was something special!

My advice for incoming or prospective students

Take your time and have patience! Don't be afraid to try new things and push your comfort zone when you can, whether that be taking a new class, trying a new sport, or making a new friend. Putting yourself out there is a worthy endeavor, and you'll find things that really motivate and interest you in the process! College isn't a race, and there's something here for everyone, you just have to find it and there are so many people who can help you along the way!
