Interests
I love to take care of the plants in my home, and I'm always looking to add new ones to my collection. I love building Legos and watching horror movies, and I love to read any book that piques my interest.
Major
Environmental Policy
Minor in French
Hometown
Fort Worth, TX
Why I chose my major
I chose my major because I was passionate about both the Environment and the conservation of it. I also had dreams of being a lawyer since I was little, and until Western, I didn't know there was a major out there that could incorporate both of those things. I can't wait to take more Environmental Policy classes to see how Western melts both of my loves together.
An experience or class at Western that made me go "Wow!"
During my first spring quarter at Western, I went to the Lakewood Boathouse at Lake Whatcom, paddle-boarded, and sailed a sailboat for the first time. I had never seen a lake that big before; it felt like an ocean.
My advice for incoming or prospective students
Put yourself out there, join all the clubs that pique your interest, even if it's something you've never done before, make connections with professors and classmates, and don't skip out on experiences if they seem out of your comfort zone. You have a chance to find the best community at Western, and you should take it.
