What I'm passionate about and why

I am passionate about respecting resources. Whatever I am creating, I do my absolute best to use reused, recycled, or ethically foraged materials. I love creating something from scratch or from trash; I love making something out of “nothing”.

Why I chose Western

When I first toured Western in my junior year of high school, it immediately felt like home. It felt friendly and welcoming, full of trees and space to grow. I love the views of the bay and that there are often deer wandering around campus. I also chose Western because of Fairhaven College, where I can pursue a more interdisciplinary education alongside my majors.

My advice for incoming or prospective students

The process of choosing a college can be overwhelming. There are so many things to consider: cost, distance from home, programs offered, etc. These are all absolutely important, but at the end of the day, vibes can be just as important. My advice to prospective students is to consider if a school feels good to you; if you can see yourself there, if it feels like home.
