Environmental Science—Terrestrial Ecology
What I like most about Bellingham.
Bellingham has the most amazing culinary scene! I absolutely adore trying new restaurants in the area, with friends or my visiting family.
Why I chose my major.
Growing up near a nature conservancy, and helping my mom as she worked to ban plastic bag use in my hometown, ensured that the environment was always on my mind, and I realized majoring in environmental science would be an amazing way to both understand and help the environment. After I graduate, I hope to research methods in restoration ecology.
What I like most about Western.
I love the openness and kindness that characterize Western's campus community. Once I arrived as a nervous out-of-state student, I felt welcomed, valued, and supported, and continue to feel that way today.
