I enjoy playing soccer and futsal, in fact, coaching futsal is another job I have. I also really like singing and hiking!
Why I chose Western.
Western was a great option for me because of the value! I know I'll be receiving an excellent education, while keeping costs down by living at home and the Multicultural Achievement Program scholarship I was awarded.
An experience or class at Western that made me go "Wow!"
A class that I've taken at Western that really impressed me was the Intro to Human Services class. We learned a lot about what to expect in the major, as well having to complete an assignment that required students to attend an event centered around social justice.
What I like most about Bellingham.
The greatest part about Bellingham I have come to learn and love after so many years, is that there are so many places that you can access easily to feel that you've "gotten away." Plus, you can watch the sunrise with an early hike near Chuckanut and watch the sunset on the small beaches in Lummi or Blaine.
My advice for incoming or prospective students.
Always be looking ahead, be organized, and be flexible.
Why I chose my major.
I chose Human Services as my major because of all the previous experience I've had with the field, and realizing that it is something I could see myself doing for all my years after graduating.
What I'm passionate about and why.
I am passionate about the worth in simple pleasures. Especially once you're facing the many stressors in school, you value being able to look out to a nice view of the bay.
What I like most about Western.
For myself, being Bellingham born and raised, I enjoy Western because of how connected the university is to the entire city. There are so many places for students to enjoy off-campus as well.
