We ordered great weather, but please be sure to check the Bellingham weather forecast before you visit. We recommend layered clothing, a light rain jacket or umbrella, comfortable shoes, water, sunglasses, and your camera.
Also, bring a water bottle. Western recently joined 50 other colleges in becoming a bottled water free campus. This student-led initiative supports one of Western’s core values of environmental sustainability. Guests can purchase cups of water at any of our eateries on campus, as well as bring their own reusable water bottle to fill at water fountains.
Park for free in the 'C Lots' off South College Drive and Bill McDonald Parkway.
For accessible parking and campus route information click here or ask our student volunteers when you arrive.
Campus tours are barrier-free.
Dining halls and campus markets offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menu options.
Spring into Western guests are also invited to register for Back2Bellingham on the day of the program. The Back2Bellingham registration fee of $20 provides each registered guest with a B2B VIP pass – a special bracelet which provides access to a variety of activities. Last year's B2B activities included:
Exciting lectures from some of Western’s top faculty
Live music on four stages, plus students playing music outdoors throughout campus
BBQ lunch and music on Old Main Lawn
Red Square Carnival: Includes live entertainment, 250' zip line, bouncy houses, and exciting carnival activities
Exhibits of student work
A whole lot more!
