When it comes to getting a feel for Western, nothing beats touring campus with our students. Western's Group Visit Program is designed to provide groups of students in 8th grade and higher with a deeper understanding of the academic opportunities at Western Washington University. We welcome you to explore campus!
Who Should Attend a Viking Group Visit
Middle school students (8th grade), high school students (9th–12th grade), transfer students, and Compass 2 Campus partnered school groups are welcome to arrange a group visit. Groups are limited to 100 students per visit. For groups of more than 100 people, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss visit options.
Viking Group Visit requests must be submitted at least three weeks in advance. Unfortunately, we may be unable to guarantee requests submitted outside of this time requirement.
Student Groups 7th Grade and Lower
Student groups younger than 8th grade are encouraged to take advantage of our self-guided campus visit options. To request self-guided visit materials, such as our Self-Guided Tour Booklet, "What Kind of Smart Are You?" Worksheet, and a Western Scavenger Hunt, please email email@example.com at least two weeks in advance.
*Please note that we cannot offer discounted meal tickets/lunch for student groups younger than 8th grade, but with advanced notice can try to arrange space on campus where your group can eat lunch.
We cannot guarantee that schedule changes made within one week of your visit date will be fulfilled. This includes any day-of alterations. Although we will try to accommodate any unforeseen circumstances that may affect your group visit (e.g. traffic), it isn't always possible to honor changes in the agenda. Your understanding is appreciated!
Since space is limited, we ask that you please notify us at least 72 hours in advance if your group must cancel.
We are typically unable to schedule visits on weekends, as well as Fridays or major holidays. However, if your group is only able to visit on one of these dates we will do our best to work with you. Contacting us in advance will help us make this accommodation more likely.
