What to Bring

We ordered the sun, but please be sure to check the actual Bellingham weather forecast before you visit. We recommend layered clothing, a rain jacket or umbrella and comfortable shoes.

Also, bring a water bottle. Western recently joined 50 other colleges in becoming a bottled water free campus. This student-led initiative supports one of Western’s core values of environmental sustainability. Guests can purchase cups of water at any of our eateries on campus, as well as bring their own reusable water bottle to fill at water fountains or hydration stations.

Don't forget your friends, family, and energy!

Directions and Parking

While you are in town, check out places to stay and eat and other activities in the Bellingham area.

While you're here

In addition to Western Fall Welcome, the weekend of October 25 is also when we will host our Fall Family Open House event, with activities and sessions open to prospective and current students and their families. Events run from Friday through Sunday. Visit the event website for a full schedule – we recommend catching a Dead Parrot Society improv or planetarium show. All events are open for drop-in and free unless otherwise indicated.
