Credits by Exam
Western Washington University Policies
Western will grant up to a maximum of 45 credits for any combination of credit by examination, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and Cambridge International examinations. Students must send official documentation in the form of a transcript or score report before credit will be awarded.
Advanced Placement (AP)

Credits are granted upon receipt of official scores (AP Transcript) from the College Board. Tests no longer offered by the College Board are not included on the chart below, but will be granted credit for a score of three (3) or higher; contact the Office of Admissions for more information.
If you did not request a copy of your scores be sent to Western at the time of your examination(s), you will need to order your score report from the College Board. Western's AP code is 4947. To contact AP Services by phone, call (888) 225-5427.
