About Me
I am a proud Western alum and was the first in my family to graduate from college! Initially, I was attracted to Western because of its strong academic reputation. After visiting, I found the incredibly supportive community inspiring and fell in love with its beautiful campus situated between Bellingham Bay and the Cascade Mountain Range.
As a student, I meandered through a few degree options, but found myself most attracted to subjects where I could learn about the world and human behavior. Western’s wide choice of academic fields and reassuring professors helped to ensure I found the right degree for me in Linguistics and Psychology.
Now, working in higher education gives me the opportunity to continue to be a part of a global community and intercultural learning. As the International and Transfer Admissions Counselor at Western, I enjoy helping students learn about our university and finding out if it is the right fit for them. My hope is to make Western more accessible by working with students one-on-one wherever they may be. Together, we can minimize the stress of navigating the college search process and focus on the many opportunities ahead!
