  • Earn a cumulative transfer GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Achieve a C- or higher in ENGL& 101 or an AP score of 4 or higher on either the English Literature & Composition or English Language & Composition exam.
  • Achieve a minimum GPA of 2.0 for each of these terms: 1) the last quarter on your transcript when you submit your application for admission, and 2) the last quarter on your transcript before you enroll at Western.
  • Complete the online application for undergraduate admission. Please take note of the application priority date and deadline for your desired quarter of entry, although late applications will be accepted if space is available.

Prepare for Your Next Step

You will find a wide range of degree programs at Western. Some offer direct admission and others have admission requirements—these may include a minimum GPA, specific prerequisite courses, or a separate application. To make your transition as smooth as possible, it’s important to connect early with an advisor who can help you understand what’s needed for your intended major.
